§ Mr. GREENWOODAll food imports are subject to inspection in this country both when they are imported and when they are exposed for sale, and they may be seized and destroyed if they are found to be unfit for human consumption. Moreover, samples of any food offered for sale may be taken by officers of the local authority under the Food and Drugs (Adulteration) Act and the vendor may be prosecuted if the food is found on analysis to be adulterated. I do not, therefore, see the necessity for any special instructions as suggested in the question.
