Mr. A. HENDERSONUpon being informed of Father Tierney's capture, His Majesty s Consul-General at Hankow immediately telegraphed to the authorities of the Province in which the outrage took place, urging that prompt steps be taken for his release. I have instructed His Majesty's Minister to take up this case at once with the Chinese Minister for Foreign Affairs.
