§ Dr. ADDISONThe total number of institutions in England and Wales which are aided by the Ministry of Agriculture for agricultural (including veterinary) research, advisory, experimental and 61W educational purposes, amounts to 48. Of these, 21 are universities or colleges, and 17 farm institutes or schools provided by county councils. For full particulars I may refer the hon. and gallant Member to the report on the work of the Research and Education Division of the Ministry for the year 1928–29. As regards Scotland, I have to refer the hon. and gallant Member to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland, as my Department does not aid institutions in that country.
