§ Mr. GREENWOODThe number of deaths registered in England and Wales during the period 1st January-30th September, 1930, in respect of which psittacosis appeared on the medical certificate as a cause of death was 15. There were no deaths recorded from this cause in 1927 or 1928, but there was one death in 1929 registered as being due to1874W broncho-pneumonia and septicæmia, which, as the result of the inquiry made in accordance with the usual practice of the Registrar-General, was attributed to psittacosis.
