§ Miss BONDFIELDSince 1st June, 1929, five schemes of work submitted by Woolwich Borough Council to the Unemployment Grants Committee have been approved for grant from Exchequer funds. They are estimated to cost £147,000 and to have an employment value equivalent to 27,090 man months. At 27th September, 1930, 124 men were employed on the one scheme which had then been started.
