§ Mr. LEES-SMITHThe total capital outlay on office machinery introduced into the London engineering district since May, 1929, is estimated at £630. The corresponding cost of upkeep, including interest and depreciation, is estimated at about £80 a year. It is impossible to 669W say how much of the capital outlay is in respect of machinery manufactured in foreign countries. Some of it consists of parts which, though of foreign origin, are assembled in this country.
