TREVELYANThe subjects of instruction in elementary schools are determined by the local education authority in the light of the needs and circumstances of the individual school; but there is a general recognition of the importance of providing some form of practical instruction for the older scholars. I shall be glad to send the hon. and gallant Member such information as can readily be obtained in regard to the instruction given in the areas named.
