§ Sir W. de FRECEasked the Secretary for Mines what progress has been made in the investigations into the extraction of oil by high and low carbonisation methods?
§ Mr. TURNERIt is impossible within the limit of an answer to a question to give what the hon. Member asks for. In the annual report of the Fuel Research Board a summary is given each year of the progress made in the production of oil from coal by the various carbonisation processes. I must refer the hon. Member to these and to the other reports published on this subject by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, of which I am sending him a list.
