§ Mr. MANDERasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether it is the intention of the Government to adhere to the proposed international convention admitting, duty free, films of an educational nature?
§ Mr. P. SNOWDENDuring the course of its recent meeting the Council of the League of Nations decided that the preliminary draft international convention for the abolition of customs barriers against educational films should in the first place be submitted to the Economic Committee of the League, which is to meet early in June next, and should then be communicated, together with any suggestions made by the Economic Committee, both to States Members of the League and non-Member States for their observations. Any statement as to the attitude of His Majesty's Government must obviously be deferred until the opportunity of examining the draft convention has been afforded.
