§ Mr. EDEasked the Minister of Transport which of the schemes for by-passing Ewell, Surrey, he proposes to approve; and when notification of such approval may be expected by the Surrey County Council?
§ Mr. HERBERT MORRISONA grant was made by my Department in November, 1928, towards the acquisition of land needed for laying out a bypass on the east side of Ewell in a position agreed with the Surrey County Council. I am prepared to make a grant towards the actual construction of the road in this position upon receipt of plans and estimates, and an intimation from the County Council that they are in a position to proceed with the work.
