§ Mr. GREENWOODThe Mental Deficiency Acts, 1913–4927, provide means by which mental defectives can be segregated in institutions or colonies or placed under guardianship or supervision. Every effort is made to ensure that the duties imposed on local authorities by those Acts are carried out.
