HC Deb 16 May 1930 vol 238 c2214W
Sir F. NELSON

asked the Minister of Transport if he can hold out any hope of the elimination of horse traffic from some of the busy thoroughfares of London, thus affording relief from traffic congestion?

Mr. HERBERT MORRISON

This question was recently considered afresh by the London Traffic Advisory Committee, who arrived at the conclusion, with which I concur, that the time has not yet arrived when it would be practicable to give effect to the suggestion contained in the hon. Member's question.
