§ Mr. PETHICK - LAWRENCEThe number of temporary ex-service clerks serving in the Civil Service on 1st January, 1930, which is the latest date for which figures are at present available, was approximately 10,000. No central record is kept showing the distribution of this total between clerks eligible for permanent non-pensionable status and those not so eligible.
