§ Mr. MIDDLETONThe hon. Member's first question is not one to which a general answer can be given. With regard to the second, the commissioners cannot give any general undertaking; where farms suitable for small holdings become vacant, the agents have instructions to offer the tenancies to county councils for that purpose, and they are always prepared to consider individual applications.
