HC Deb 14 May 1930 vol 238 c1889W
Lieut. - Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs the approximate figures showing the annual sums in sterling at present spent on armaments and armed forces by each of the principal Powers of the world; and whether it is possible to distinguish the sums spent approximately on Army, Navy, and aerial armaments, respectively?

Mr. DALTON

I cannot do better than refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the latest issue of the League of Nations Armaments Year Book, which contains full information regarding the defence budgets of most of the countries in the world, distinguishing in every case, as far as possible, between the different arms of the services.
