HC Deb 12 May 1930 vol 238 c1463W
Dr. HUNTER

asked the Minister of Pensions whether he is prepared to take the necessary steps to make statutory all awards, whether errors of final awards, or on over seven years' claims, so as to give the same rights to these pensioners as to others?

Mr. F. O. ROBERTS

Legislation of the kind referred to is not contemplated as either necessary or desirable. The mere grant of statutory powers to make awards of the two classes referred to would not of itself confer material rights which pensioners do not already possess.
