MACLEANasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is aware that the Chief Constable of Paisley has dismissed or requested four constables in the Paisley Police Force to resign; whether an investigation has been held locally; and whether an appeal has been received from any or all of the four constables to have an inquiry into their case by the sheriff?
Mr. W. ADAMSONFour constables of the Paisley Police Force were dismissed on the 22nd April, 1930, after an inquiry held by the Chief Constable. Appeals under the Police (Appeals) Act, 1927, have been lodged with me on behalf of the four men.
