HC Deb 07 May 1930 vol 238 c978W
Mr. STEPHEN

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will consider the introduction of legislation to protect the rights of unemployed men and women, on the lines of the prolongation of Insurance Acts, in view of the fact that otherwise thousands of men and women will cease to be eligible for health insurance benefit at the end of this year if no such legislation is introduced?

Mr. JOHNSTON

I am aware of the position mentioned by my hon. Friend, and the matter is being considered by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland, in consultation with the Minister of Health.
