HC Deb 06 May 1930 vol 238 c769W
Sir R. HAMILTON

asked the Postmaster-General the reason for the delay in the reception at Lerwick of the S.O.S. sent out by the "St. Sunniva" when she went ashore on the island of Mousa on the 10th April?

Mr. LEES-SMITH

The S.O.S. message was duly received at Wick Wireless Station, but could not be immediately transmitted to Lerwick owing to the interruption of the Aberdeen-Kirkwall-Lerwick cable.
