HC Deb 06 May 1930 vol 238 c775W
Major COLVILLE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs if he will state the number of British ex-service men and the number of non-service persons, men and women, employed, respectively, in the department of the Irish Soldiers and Sailors and Land Trust set up under the Irish Free State (Consequential Provisions) Act?

Mr. LUNN

I am informed by the Irish Sailors and Soldiers Land Trust that the total male staff employed by the Trust in London and Dublin consists of 32 persons, 27 of whom served in His Majesty's Forces during the War. In addition, out of 41 men employed as rent collectors on a percentage basis in the Irish Free State, 36 are ex-service men.
