HC Deb 06 May 1930 vol 238 cc789-90W
Mr. D. G. SOMERVILLE

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he can state the amount of money which is collected by way of income tax on so-called unearned income of those who have actually not inherited any money whatever but who are benefiting by investments made as a result of their life's work; and how many income tax payers of this category there are?

Mr. P. SNOWDEN

I regret I am unable to give these particulars.
