HC Deb 06 May 1930 vol 238 c767W
Mr. THORNE

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he can give particulars of the committee which is being set up to inquire into the status, pay, and conditions of ships' doctors on British liners; and if he will state whether the ships' doctors will be directly represented on the committee?

Mr. W. GRAHAM

I have no knowledge of the Committee to which my hon. Friend refers, but I am informed that the British Medical Association are setting up a committee to consider the desirability of providing special postgraduate facilities for ship surgeons; but as far as I am aware this will not be concerned with their pay and conditions.
