asked the Postmaster-General whether he can state the total amount of revenue derived from the exhibition of advertisements in the stamp books issued by the Post Office and of the posters that are now displayed in post offices; and can he say whether this revenue is derived from contracts with advertising contractors?

Mr. LEES-SMITH

The total revenue derived during the financial year ended 31st March from advertisements in books of stamps was £14,840, and the corresponding revenue from advertisements in Post Offices was £36,925. The whole of this revenue is derived from contracts with advertising contractors.
