HC Deb 05 May 1930 vol 238 c653W
Viscount LYMINGTON

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he proposes to increase the grant to young farmers' clubs in future?

Mr. BUXTON

I presume that the Noble Lord refers to the grant made by the Ministry of Agriculture to the National Council of Social Service in aid of the organisation of the Young Farmers' Club Movement. For the present calendar year, the grant will be increased by the sum of £500, together with a further sum of £1 for every £1 collected by the National Council by way of membership fees, subscriptions and donations, up to a maximum of £500. The question of continuing this increase will be considered towards the end of the year.
