§ Miss BONDFIELDThe total amount of interest paid from the Unemployment Fund to the Exchequer from the commencement of borrowing in 1921 to 31st March, 1930, is approximately £7,658,680. It is estimated that the amount paid during the year to March, 1931, may be in the neighbourhood of £2,250,000.
