§ Mr. FREEMANasked the Secretary of State for India whether his attention has been called to the fact that Indian medical degrees are not recognised by the British Medical Association; and does he propose to take any action in the matter?
§ Mr. BENNI am aware that the General Medical Council have withheld 2121W recognition of Indian degrees. I am in communication with the Government of India on the subject, and am not at the moment prepared to make any statement. I need hardly say that I am most anxious that a settlement should be reached.
