§ Dr. HASTINGSasked the Attorney-General whether, in view of the small number of local authorities that have exercised their optional powers under the Land Registration Act, 1925, and made compulsory the registration of land on sale in their areas, he will consider the desirability of taking steps to remind them of their powers under the Act?
§ The ATTORNEY-GENERALI do not think that any useful purpose would be served by taking the steps suggested by my hon. Friend. I have no reason to suppose that local authorities are not aware of their powers in this respect.
