§ Mr. LEES-SMITHThe number of salaried sub-offices is 668. Of the postmasters in charge of these offices, about 550 are scheduled to perform manipulative duties and the aggregate number of hours daily spent on such duties is about 1850. About 100 postmasters are responsible for telephone attendance at night, and on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
