§ Mr. LANSBURYThe estimated cost of lighting the National Gallery is £12,000 and of lighting the Tate Gallery, £5,000. Experimental work will be necessary as regards the type of lighting to be adopted, and provision in next year's Estimates has consequently been limited to work on one or two rooms. It is expected that the reminder of the work will take two years to complete at the National Gallery, and a year at the Tate Gallery.
