§ Dr. HASTINGSasked the Minister of Health whether he will take steps, in the case of Poor Law hospitals, to stop the practice of awaking patients at five o'clock in the morning for the purpose of ablutions, when these could be carried out at a more reasonable hour without interfering with their sleep?
§ Mr. GREENWOODI am anxious that everything possible should be done to study the comfort of patients and this matter is one which is constantly under consideration. I have been interested to see the steps proposed in this regard in the important hospital with which my hon. Friend is connected, but as he will appreciate the subject is one in which it is difficult to make general recommendations.
