§ Mr. DAYasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has received a resolution passed by the Church of Scotland Assembly asking him to introduce legislation for the purpose of prohibiting irregular marriages taking place at Gretna Green which are not registered; and whether he proposes to take any action in the matter?
Mr. W. ADAMSONI have not yet received a resolution on this subject, but I am aware of the discussions which took place in the General Assembly. I need not say that any proposals submitted will be carefully considered.
