§ Mr. GREENWOODThe council's proposals for a scheme under the Relief734W Regulation Order involve a variation of hours worked to correspond with the amount of relief. Such an arrangement was deprecated by the inspector in a conversation which he had several weeks ago with the clerk, and which had reference to the possibility of establishing a general scheme of work, training and instruction, such as had been in fact contemplated by the board of guardians. There was no insistence on any specified number of hours. The council s scheme is still under my consideration.
