§ Mr. GILLETTDiscussions regarding the Mission to the Far East took place with the Manchester Chamber of Commerce, the Joint Committee of Cotton Trade Organisations, the Wool Textile Delegation, and less formally through their officials with the National Federation of Iron and Steel Manufacturers and the British Engineers' Association. I would add that the Overseas Trade Development Council with its panel, who made the original recommendation, includes in its membership gentlemen who either hold or have held important positions in great industrial organisations such as the Association of British Chambers of Commerce and the Federation of British Industries.
