§ Mr. SHINWELLThe amounts expended from the Votes of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research for work supervised by the Fuel Research Board during the financial years 1928–29 and 1929–30 were £77,877 and £84,706 respectively. The estimate for the current financial year is £86,803. The investigations being carried out are 1625W described in the annual reports of the Board and of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research as well as in a number of reports dealing with specific results.
