Mr. W. ADAMSONThe Department of Agriculture for Scotland have under consideration proposals for the continuation and extension of the investigation into means of eradicating bracken which was instituted by them in 1928. The results of the attempts made so far to spread disease by means of cultures have been inconclusive, but experiments in methods of spreading the disease by using diseased material and fronds appear to be more promising. These experiments are being proceeded with.
