§ Mr. GREENWOODI understand that the appropriate committee of the League of Nations was requested in 1928 by the International Society of Medical Hydrology to take action with a view to international co-ordination in the investigation of rheumatic diseases, but that the2448W committee, for various reasons, were unable to comply with the request. Since that date the International League against Rheumatism has been founded by the International Society of Medical Hydrology with the object, inter alia, of making comparative studies of rheumatism in various countries, including the collection of international statistics and the stimulation of research.
