§ Miss LAWRENCEThe number of additional staff engaged up to the present for the purpose of dealing with claims under the new Pensions Act is 480. My right hon. Friend is satisfied that the staffing arrangements are sufficient to ensure that the vast majority of claims will be settled by the appointed day, if the claims are made in good time. He therefore trusts that all persons who claim to be entitled in July next will submit their applications without delay.
