§ Mr. REMERasked the Home Secretary if his attention has been called to the case of William Sidebotham, charged at the Chester Assizes on the charge of murder, and who was ordered to be detained as a criminal lunatic on the ground that he was unfit to plead; if he is aware that the coroner's jury have returned a verdict of accidental death; and what action he intends to take?
§ Mr. CLYNESI am aware of the facts. An order for Sidebotham's removal to Broadmoor Asylum has been made. I am not sure that any further action is required at present, but I am looking into the matter.
