§ Major POLEasked the Secretary of State for India whether his attention has been called to the unanimous resolution passed by the Indian Legislative Assembly with regard to the proposals of the Government of Ceylon to make the possession of a certificate of permanent settlement and renunciation of the protection of the Government of India by Indian emigrants essential conditions for eligibility to vote; and whether any steps are being taken following on that resolution?
