§ Mr. GILLETTThe imports of wheat from France during the period specified amounted to 119,400 cwts. in addition to 98,000 cwts of wheatmeal and flour. As regards the second part of the question, I have no information as to whether any refund of duty was made in connection with the above quantities of wheat and flour. The provisions of the relevant French law on the subject have already been explained in the reply of my right hon. Friend the Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture to the question asked by the hon. Member for Devizes (Mr. Hurd) on 23rd January.
