§ Mr. LEES-SMITHSteel or concrete poles have not so far been adopted for the telegraph and telephone service except in a few special instances, because no such poles suitable for general adoption have yet been brought to the notice of the Post Office. I am, however, always ready to arrange for any new types of steel or concrete poles to be carefully considered.
