§ Mr. W. R. SMITHI regret that there are no general figures available of the kind that my hon. Friend asks for. He will, however, find some information relating to the capital and number of employés engaged in agriculture in the Report on the Agricultural Output of 243W England and Wales for 1925 (Cmd. 2815), and figures in respect of the capital expenditure and number of employés of the railway companies of Great Britain are given in the Railway Returns for 1928, and in the return of the staff of railway companies for 1929, respectively.
