§ Earl CASTLE STEWARTasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he can give any figures to show what proportion of Income Tax which is collected from business concerns is derived from the tax upon shareholders' dividends and what proportion falls to be met by the concern out of its profits?
§ Mr. P. SNOWDENI regret that this information is not available. But certain statistics relating to the undistributed income of companies for the year 1923–24 were obtained specially for the Committee on National Debt and Taxation and the noble Lord will find them published on page 18 of the Committee's Report (Command Paper 2800 of 1927).
