HC Deb 07 February 1930 vol 234 c2249W
Sir G. HURST

asked the Home Secretary if he is aware of the inadequate gas lighting and of the deterioration of the gas piping at His Majesty's prison, Manchester; if he has received the Report of the visiting committee on these defects; and if he will consider the desirability of installing proper electric lighting equipment at this prison?

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave on 30th January to the hon. Members for Blackley (Mr. P. Oliver) and Hulme (Mr. McElwee).
