Viscountess ASTORasked the Lord Privy Seal whether, in view of the fact that the increase in unemployment, as 1712W compared with a year ago, is entirely among women, he will include special schemes of work for women in his plans for the relief of unemployment?
Mr. THOMASI would refer the Noble Lady to the reply which I gave on 11th November last to the Noble Lord the Member for Aldershot (Viscount Wolmer), a copy of which I am sending to her. I may, however, add that the scheme of training for women and girls conducted by the Central Committee on Women's Training and Employment on behalf of the Ministry of Labour has been and is being extended in various directions.
