§ Major ROSSasked the Secretary of State for War what proportion of oats supplied to Army horses in the United Kingdom were of home, Dominion, and foreign origin?
§ Mr. SHAWExcept for one summer training camp, for which 18 tons of Dominion oats were purchased, all orders (about 20,000 tons) for the 12 months up to 31st October last were for home-grown oats. It afterwards came to light that in the case of two small deliveries (about 5 tons in all) foreign or Dominion oats had been irregularly supplied in place of1994W home-grown oats. In addition, some 575 tons of Dominion oats were issued from reserve stock bought in previous years.
