TREVELYANAs a general rule, the service of naval schoolmasters is pensionable by the Admiralty, and it is only in exceptional cases that past service in this capacity falls to be considered by the Board of Education under the Teachers' Superannuation Acts. Those Acts do not extend to Scotland, and I see no sufficient reason for so extending them in relation to the very limited class of schoolmasters mentioned in the question.
