§ Mr. DAYasked the Minister of Transport whether he has had any applications from highway authorities for financial assistance towards schemes for the erection of bridges at level crossings; and can he give the House particulars?
§ Mr. HERBERT MORRISONI have received applications for grants towards schemes for the elimination of 55 level crossings. In 28 of these schemes it is proposed to eliminate the crossing by the erection of a bridge, in the other cases by the construction of new roads.
