The number of men at present in occupation of small holdings provided by the Shropshire County Council since the War is 176, of whom 156 are settled on land acquired under the Land Settlement (Facilities) Act, 1919, and 20 on land acquired under the Small Holdings and Allotments Act, 1926. The number of tenants who have given up their holdings is 63, but of these 21 are known to have moved to larger holdings, 16 left in order to take up other occupations, one died and three gave up on account of ill health.
