HC Deb 09 April 1930 vol 237 c2175W
Sir A. BENNETT

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has received any representations from the Chinese Government on the suppression of the Kuomintang by the Governor of the Straits Settlements and Malaya; and, if so, whether any action has been taken thereon?

Mr. A. HENDERSON

The Chinese chargé d'affaires, acting under instructions from his Government, has made representations to me on this subject. The nature of the reply to be returned is at present under consideration.

Sir A. BENNETT

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether any action and, if so, what, has been taken in connection with the reversal or modification of the suppression of the Kuomintang by the Government of the Straits Settlements and Malaya?

Dr. SHIELS

No such action has been taken by my Noble Friend.
